Brightbulb Design is seeking fantastic graphic designers and PHP developers to join them as part of a major expansion plan for our Wootton based design studio. Developer Roles
We are seeking highly competent PHP developers familiar with developing WordPress sites but also experience in Magento would be a great advantage. Someone who is highly motivated, creates exceptional work with tight time frames and can add real value to our ever expanding team of creative individuals.
Experience in website builds from start to finish
Understanding of server technologies
Understanding of domains and DNS
Great knowledge of PHP
Experience with MySQL databases
Ability to build bespoke plugins and themes
Javascript experience

Graphic Designer Roles
We have opportunities for the brightest designers on the Island to join our team. We are looking for a talent, someone with a real understanding of design and design principles. Web design experience in terms of layout and initial concepts is an advantage and any experience in using WordPress would be fab.
Typical activities include:
Managing client projects from design, print and production
Working with clients, briefing and advising them with regards to design style, format, print production and timescales
Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for company logos, marketing materials and websites
Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size
Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
Qualifications and training required
A good knowledge of design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop. Knowledge of WordPress also an advantage as is knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP.
Excellent IT skills and experience with an apple mac required.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent time management and organisational skills
An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
