In conjunction with the Embassy of Vietnam in London, Vietnam Airlines and West East Travel the Vietnam taxi campaign was born. Run by Taxi Promotions and designed by Matt Jeffery, the massive campaign consisted of one full livery design, four superside designs across several taxis in London, branded tip seats and receipts. The unveiling of the Taxis took place outside the Vietnamese embassy to rave applause. The PR event saw the taxis visit several landmark London locations on the day of the unveiling.
Idea
The taxi designs showed the beauty of Vietnam and in particular the stunning Ha Long Bay, situated in north Vietnam round a 120 kilometre long coast line and is literally translated as “Bay of Descending Dragons”. Some of the superside designs showed the traditional dress of the Vietnamese ladies including the famous ‘Non La’ (Vietnamese hat). Atop the full livery cab was the crowning feature of the red and gold Vietnamese flag which really set the full livery taxi apart from the other cabs. The campaign was a great success.
