Three years ago, we visited our first Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. We attended the networking breakfast, and spent the day walking around the different stands and talking to the various businesses. We attended some great seminars and really enjoyed the whole experience.
Last year we decided to exhibit for the first time, and using our usual ‘out of the box thinking’, we took a giant fibreglass cow along with us that we had designed for Isle of Wight Day representing Tapnell Farm also as one of our clients. PC Consultants also had a fibreglass cow, so we had a great PR opportunity before we even began and it was a great talking point for people attending Expo.
We had a fantastic day, met new business owners and gained new leads, and networked with some fantastic businesses including our expo neighbour who were the main sponsor for the event – Wight Fibre.
This year, when the time came, we decided with no hesitation to exhibit again as we knew it was a great experience. Following major growth of Brightbulb over the last 12 months, we also designed five other stands for clients that were exhibiting, so it was great to walk around and see them too.
We used Expo as a great opportunity to launch the new arm of our business Brightbulb Digital! We have now become one of only 5 resellers in the world of the Giant I-Tab, as well as being able to rent out our I-Tab. The I-Tab is effectively a giant android device that works like any android smartphone / tablet. You can download apps and access the internet as well as many other things.
The I-Tab was received extremely well at expo as we put a game on it and passers by had a go at beating the highest score of the day. Pat from Hillbans Pest Control clearly has some experience in Crossy Road as no one came close to his top score of 142 all day winning him a bottle of bubbly. Scott from Context Print came second winning a box of chocolates.
Brightbulb Digital also introduces new services such as Social Media Management, email marketing and more.
There is no change to Brightbulb Design, we will continue to deliver excellent customer experiences and work closely with our clients to ensure you are getting your brand message across creatively. Brightbulb Digital will just increase the amount of services and products we can now offer.
The main sponsor of this years expo was again Wight Fibre, with Lifeline sponsoring the expo Breakfast. Both sponsors had stands that were designed by us, and it was great to see them supporting the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce as always.
Last year we gave away pink popcorn, and this year we gave away pink and white chocolate lightbulbs! Look out for us at future Expos, and we will continue to bring innovative ideas each year.
